About Us

About Our Church

Our guide for faith and life:

People need a living, personal and communal relationship with Jesus Christ, the Son of God.

The Holy Spirit is at work transforming lives, relationships and the church, opening hearts and minds to new and deeper understandings of God's truth.

Worship is the most powerful and meaningful when it touches the heart, mind and spirit through good music, good preaching and the celebration and sharing of the Lord's Supper.

The journey of faith is more about learning to ask the right questions than it is about memorizing the right answers. The primary call of all baptized Christians is to share God's story, and the story of God at work in their lives, with all people in word and action. We always need forgiveness, yet we can and should grow in faith and faithfulness to God's will throughout our lives. Baptism is just the beginning. We are called to share the message of Jesus Christ in ways that are meaningful and clear to those who have never heard the message. We celebrate the great diversity of God's creation and the great diversity of God's chosen people, the Church.

We are committed to learning from our differences instead of making "cookie cutter" Christians.

 Men of Morning Star

We meet monthly for breakfast and conversation; we plan and coordinate activities that we like to do and share, including our Brew Crew, serving Palm Sunday Breakfast, work-oriented mission tripsBible studies and workshops with other men’s ministry groups. We encourage men to suggest and participate in those activities that interest them, to offer leadership where they are called, and bring friends.

  • Mission Statement: A focused effort by the men of Morning Star to grow in relationship with Christ through our relationships with each other, our community and God.
